Munchies

I've been cooking and baking more frequently — spicy Korean chicken feet are amazing, and the homemade ramen was delicious. Also made bread, but I need practice with that lol.

Spicy Korean Chicken Feet (Dakbal)

This is the recipe I used, from Seonkyoung Longest on YouTube. Serves 4.

What you need

For the chicken feet: 1 lb chicken feet, 2 Tbs Korean coarse sea salt, 1/2 cup soju (or vodka or milk) for cleaning.

For the sauce: 3 cloves garlic, 3 small chunks ginger, Thai chilies to taste (optional but do it), 1 Tbs gochujang, 2 Tbs gochugaru, 1 Tbs soy sauce, 1 Tbs mirin, 1 Tbs oyster sauce, 1 Tbs sugar, 1/4 tsp black pepper.

To finish: sesame oil, sesame seeds, chopped green onion.

How it goes

Clean the chicken feet with the salt and soju, then steam them until tender. While that's going, blend the sauce ingredients together. Toss the steamed feet in the sauce, garnish with sesame oil, sesame seeds, and green onion. That's it.

Fair warning: the gochugaru brings real heat. Start with less if you're not sure, you can always add more.
